About the volunteering opportunity
eiWIR is committed to bringing people together, promoting social participation, and combating loneliness.
In addition to our community calendar, where we highlight events and social opportunities offered by various organizations, we also aim to develop and host our own events and community programs.
These are initiatives designed to bring people together in a simple and accessible way: shared leisure activities, social gatherings, educational programs, digital support, intergenerational activities, or even entirely new ideas.
Some formats already exist, while others we’d like to develop further together. It’s important to us that our events are accessible and open to all, and that people can participate on their own without feeling they have to belong to an existing group.
To plan, organize, and carry out these programs, we’re looking for dedicated people who are eager to actively help shape our community and contribute their own ideas and skills to seiWIR.
Your Tasks
You'll help us plan, organize, and carry out events and community activities.
Depending on your interests and experience, you can take on a variety of tasks, such as:
- helping to develop new event and community formats
- contributing your own ideas for activities and projects
- Handling the organizational preparations for events
- researching suitable venues, partners, and other contributors
- Assisting with participant organization and event planning
- Prepare for and assist with events on-site
- Welcome participants and serve as a point of contact
- Assist with setup and takedown as well as organizational tasks
- Further develop existing event formats
- If interested, take on your own smaller initiatives or projects and implement them together with us
You don’t have to be able to do everything or take on every task. Together, we’ll figure out which tasks suit you, your interests, and the amount of time you have available.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Previous experience in event planning is helpful, but not required. What matters most to us are reliability, openness, team spirit, and a passion for working with people.
