About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for participants for a short film scene—the symbolic passing of a flag. Filming can take place in Hemdingen or Lägerdorf near Itzehoe.
The film:
Together with Sueño the horse, we’re producing a four-minute educational film in cooperation with the Sepsis Foundation to raise awareness about sepsis as a medical emergency. (Why we’re doing this: Every day, adults and children die from sepsis because they or those around them were unaware of this medical emergency—even though sepsis claims more lives than strokes or heart attacks, and children are also among the at-risk groups.)

What we’re looking for:
We’d like to create the ending of the video together with people from the region and are looking for participants. Your face doesn’t need to be visible in the film, and you don’t need to say anything. The plan is to symbolically pass a flag from person to person.

People of all ages are welcome. Children accompanied by a parent can also participate—they would only be filmed from behind, without their faces being shown. We’d also be thrilled to have a human-dog team.
The film, for which we’d like to shoot the ending, can already be viewed on our Wissensritter website. Sueño the Horse Raises Awareness About Sepsis | HorseSecrets
When:
Whenever you have time. The actual shoot will only take a few minutes. The timing is flexible and will be arranged together based on your availability.

We’re very grateful to anyone who’d like to contribute, even for a short time. Together, we can help spread vital knowledge about sepsis—a medical emergency that’s still far too little known. Sepsis can affect people of all ages and also puts children at risk.
More information about sepsis is available, for example, on the Sepsis Foundation’s website.
Your Tasks
Symbolically pass a flag on to another person. If you're interested: Help shape the film with your own ideas.

Wissensritter - Equites Scientiae
In cooperation with the Sepsis Foundation, the volunteer-run, private project “Wissensritter – Equites Scientiae” raises awareness of sepsis, a medical emergency that is still not widely understood. Sueño the horse helps bring the topic of sepsis into people’s everyday lives in a low-threshold, encouraging, and accessible way.
