Important notice

The “Dr. Günter Hesse” nursing home offers a home in Pankow to 80 residents with care levels I through V. The residents feel comfortable and safe here, thanks to the daily efforts of our long-time staff members. They are supported by many dedicated volunteers who enjoy visiting the facility regularly. So you wouldn’t be alone in your volunteer work and could exchange ideas with other volunteers and the on-site coordinator. In addition, the “die freiwilligen” team at Unionhilfswerk is always available and offers free courses and training in the area of volunteering for and with older adults.

The facility is a 3-minute walk from the Pankower Straße tram stop (M50) and is therefore easily accessible. You can find more information about the facility  at “Dr. Günter Hesse” Nursing Home – Unionhilfswerk.
