About the volunteering opportunity
Those active in local politics are increasingly facing hostility. As part of our efforts to promote greater respect and support in local politics, we are seeking volunteers to help with our needs assessment. Our goal is to highlight the experiences and needs of those active in local politics and to derive concrete courses of action from them. An important component of this analysis is our first-ever nationwide survey. We are currently evaluating the data we have received. We plan to publish the results and use them to further develop our programs.

Your Tasks
Responsibilities
You will support the Needs and Impact Analysis Working Group in the area of needs analysis to make experiences and needs more visible and to contribute findings toward the further development of the association’s own programs. Possible tasks include:
Evaluating the needs analysis
- Assisting with data analysis.
- Assisting with the preparation of results for the further development of the association’s own programs.
- Coordinating with other internal association working groups (e.g., Public Relations, Workshops) regarding the use and publication of the results.
- Assisting with the publication of the results.
Preparation and conduct of in-depth interviews
- Assistance with preparing in-depth interviews to supplement the needs assessment survey that has already been conducted.
- Assistance in organizing and conducting in-depth interviews with individuals active in local politics.
- Analysis of the in-depth interviews and preparation of the findings for internal use and potential publication.

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.

- Technical Requirements – Experience with digital tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Drive) and basic equipment (laptop/computer, camera, microphone).
- Language skills – German at the C1 level or higher.

Our association offers concrete support for people in local politics against hate and violence, for example through targeted initial information or sensitization workshops. With the support of politicians in the local environment, we work for the preservation and strengthening of our democratic system.
