About the volunteering opportunity
Seniorennetz Berlin is a project of the AWO Landesverband Berlin e.V. and is funded by the Senate Department for Science, Health, and Care. We want to enable all seniors in Berlin to participate in the digital world. Where we see gaps in available services, we set up our own tablet courses to help older adults who have little or no digital skills become digitally literate. That’s why we need you and your commitment!
Your Tasks
You will lead a course at a partner organization of the Senior Network, where seniors learn everything from the basics of using a tablet to sending an email. The goal is to help participants overcome their fears and reservations about digital devices and the internet in a relaxed atmosphere. We provide devices on loan for the duration of the course. A course runs for six weeks and lasts 90 minutes per week. Course times can be flexibly arranged in consultation with the partner facility.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Do you have very good digital skills and can you explain them in simple terms? Do you also enjoy working with older adults and have patience and empathy? If so, this job is perfect for you.

A course lasts six weeks, with weekly 90-minute sessions.
Courses can be made ongoing in consultation with the partner organization, if appropriate. Alternatively, we would be pleased if courses were offered on an ongoing basis at various partner organizations. However, it is also possible to hold a one-time course.
