About the volunteering opportunity
The Unionhilfswerk regional chapter has established a free counseling service for seniors to address technical questions regarding the use of smartphones, tablets, and other devices. As demand is slowly increasing and interest is growing, we are looking for additional volunteers to help us maintain this service. Inquiries from seniors may be resolved after just one appointment or may require several counseling sessions. Some of the sessions take place in the seniors’ own homes, while others are held at the Kieke mal facility on Hultschiner Damm.
Your Tasks
- Introductions to Smartphones (Operating Systems Based on Your Skill Level)
- Assistance with questions regarding the use of laptops, tablets, and smartphones (operating systems based on individual skill levels)
- Assistance with government procedures (digital), scheduling appointments, digitizing customer accounts...
- Explanations tailored to seniors, as well as the creation of personalized “instructions”
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
