About the volunteering opportunity
About seiWIR
seiWIR brings people together and helps them find ways out of loneliness and social isolation.
Our programs are designed for people of all ages and in various life situations. We aim to facilitate connections, strengthen community, and promote social participation—across generations, with low barriers to entry, and open to everyone.
With our free community calendar, we bring together events, social opportunities, and community activities from various organizations in one central location. This helps people discover suitable opportunities, make new connections, and participate in community life.
In addition to the digital platform, seiWIR develops its own programs for social interaction, education, and community building. These include, for example, events for shared leisure activities, intergenerational projects, initiatives for digital inclusion, and training sessions on smartphones, tablets, and artificial intelligence.
To expand our nonprofit programs for different age groups and target audiences and secure long-term funding, we’re looking for a dedicated individual who will volunteer to help us identify suitable funding opportunities and prepare grant applications.
This includes both public funding programs and funding opportunities from foundations, social lotteries, companies, and other nonprofit institutions.
Ideally, we’re looking for someone who doesn’t just want to help out on an ad hoc basis, but who is willing to work with us to build and further develop this important area.
Your Tasks
Your Potential Responsibilities
Depending on your experience, interests, and availability, you can support us in the following areas:
- Researching suitable grant programs, foundations, and calls for proposals
- Reviewing funding eligibility requirements, deadlines, and required documentation
- Assessing which funding opportunities are a good fit for seiWIR and our projects
- Compiling and clearly documenting the research results
- Assisting with the development of project ideas that qualify for funding
- Assistance in formulating and drafting grant applications
- Compilation of the required attachments and supporting documentation
- Support with financing plans, cost overviews, and project timelines
- Review of applications for completeness and compliance with funding guidelines
- Maintaining an overview of funding opportunities, deadlines, pending applications, and processing statuses
- If interested: Assistance with funding disbursements, amendment requests, statements of use, and progress reports
- Helping to establish a long-term grant management system for seiWIR
You don’t have to take on all of these tasks. We’ll work together to determine which area best fits your experience, interests, and availability.

Your role at seiWIR
We hope for a trusting and, ideally, long-term collaboration. If you feel a lasting connection to seiWIR’s goals, there is the potential for you to become a member of the organization in the future.
Depending on the type of involvement you’d like and in accordance with our bylaws, the following options are available:
- a regular membership with voting rights, if you’d like to actively help shape the association’s development and decisions
- a supporting membership, if you’d like to accompany and support seiWIR on a long-term basis without taking on a voting role
Furthermore, if seiWIR develops successfully and secures funding through grants or other sources of income, the possibility of paid work or employment may arise at a later date. This is a future prospect and does not constitute a binding commitment at this time.
However, volunteering should not be just a temporary solution for you: Regardless of future funding, we would like to offer you a position of responsibility, genuine opportunities to help shape our organization, and a permanent place on our team.
