About the volunteering opportunity
We’re looking for dedicated individuals to accompany and support people with mobility challenges, most of whom are seniors. Many of those we serve rely on a walker or wheelchair. Together, you can accompany them to doctor’s appointments, go shopping, visit a café, attend cultural events, or simply go for a walk. Through your dedication, you’ll be giving them your time, companionship, and a better quality of life.

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
Requirements
- A basic criminal background check
- Reliability and a sense of responsibility
- A friendly and respectful manner toward older adults
- Enjoyment of interacting with people and volunteering

V. supports people in living independently in their familiar surroundings for as long as possible—even when age, illness, or disabilities make daily life more difficult. We promote neighborhood assistance, strengthen volunteer engagement, and support people in need of help and care in their daily lives. Our goal: to prevent loneliness, enable participation, and maintain quality of life.
As the support association for SOPHIA Berlin GmbH, we work closely with our colleagues and supplement their services where additional support is needed. Thanks to approximately 130 dedicated volunteers, we are able to provide help quickly, flexibly, and without red tape.
