About the volunteering opportunity
At our animal sanctuary, we have to care for about 250 animals every day. Through your regular and reliable support, you help us ensure the animals’ well-being and take some of the burden off our team of volunteers.
Your Tasks

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
To work at our sanctuary, you should be physically fit.

We need help every day, especially between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Depending on the arrangement, shifts may start as early as 8:00 a.m., with a breakfast break from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Important notice
We are a vegan and cruelty-free sanctuary. You don't necessarily have to be vegan, but you should have an open mind and be willing to adapt while staying at the sanctuary. We do not allow any animal products on our property.

The Heile Seele e.V. Animal Shelter is a nonprofit animal welfare project that currently provides a safe and dignified home for approximately 250 animals. Our sanctuary is located in the idyllic Southern Harz region, in the spa town of Bad Sachsa. On just under 7 hectares of land, founder Ann-Christin Pabst lives alongside 250 animals of various species. In addition to horses, cats, and dogs, the sanctuary is also home to cattle, pigs, sheep, and goats. Geese, ducks, turkeys, and chickens have also found a home here. The sanctuary has become a place of peace and healing for both people and animals.
