Games, Fun, and Sports with Children Up to 12 Years Old

At F1, the community center on Mehringplatz, we want to get kids moving. To that end, we’re looking for someone who enjoys leading a group of 10–12 children ages 6 to 12 in activities such as circus arts, ballet, dance, or movement games. We’re open to your ideas, and you’ll get to design the program.

You’ll be in charge of games, fun, and sports with the children and will prepare and clean up after your activities. Neighborhood moms will be on site with the children’s group to support you. The parents of the participating children are responsible for supervising their children. During the colder months, your activities can take place indoors in the gym. In the summer, our wonderful garden is also available for your activities. 

The program is scheduled to take place every Tuesday between 3:30 and 5:00 p.m. and last approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. In addition, there will be flexible time for preparation and follow-up. It is important that the program takes place regularly—preferably every Tuesday or, if that works better schedule-wise, every other Tuesday. However, we are looking for not only a regular but also a long-term commitment of at least 6 months for the children.

At F1, you’ll find not only a great group of kids but also a friendly and welcoming team. You’ll be supported throughout the program by neighborhood moms, and a volunteer coordinator is also available to answer any questions you may have about your volunteer work. If you’re able to arrive early, you’ll receive a free vegetarian lunch, and hot and cold beverages will also be available to you. In addition, you can take advantage of great training opportunities and events offered by Unionhilfswerk. After volunteering for at least 6 months, you’ll also receive an expense allowance (which can be paid retroactively).
