About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for creative support in the areas of video editing and visual storytelling for our current projects.
We’re currently compiling new footage from our international projects and activities—including the COP31 Climate Conference. We’d like to use this material to develop short, visually compelling stories that convey our work and its social themes in a clear and engaging way.
If you enjoy developing stories from existing image and video footage, creating visual connections, and experimenting with editing, typography, and graphic elements, we look forward to hearing from you.
Your Tasks
Depending on your interests and experience, you can help us with:
- Editing and designing short teaser videos about our work
- Editing video and interview footage for and from COP31
- Editing and producing panel discussions and conversations for YouTube
- Developing short visual formats for LinkedIn and Instagram
- Occasionally designing visual learning materials for international workshops
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
- A passion for video, visual communication, and storytelling
- A reliable and independent work style
- Proficiency in English, as we work in an international environment
- Basic experience with video editing, Canva, or similar programs
- Openness to learning tools such as Google Drive, Trello, Slack, or Miro
- An interest in art, sustainability, social change, and future-oriented topics is welcome

Approximately 6 hours per month, flexible by arrangement.
Most of the work can be done remotely. We’ll coordinate schedules and working hours together.
Note: If your focus is more on graphic design than on video, we currently also have a separate volunteer opportunity in the area of graphic design and visual communication.
Important notice
You’ll gain insights into international cultural, research, and EU projects and have the opportunity to contribute to real-world communication initiatives. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute your own visual ideas and—upon agreement—use selected work for your portfolio.
You’ll work with a small, transdisciplinary team and gain exposure to a variety of projects at the intersection of art, futures, sustainability, and social innovation.
