About the volunteering opportunity
Politics alone cannot solve the climate crisis.
That’s why we’re rolling up our sleeves and getting to work.
As a climate protection organization, we’re working toward a world where future generations can lead good lives. That means keeping global warming as low as possible. We’re advocating in cities, towns, and at the federal level to ensure that Germany rapidly and drastically reduces its greenhouse gas emissions. And you can GET INVOLVED!
LocalZero is our Germany-wide network for local climate action. LocalZero is driven by motivated local teams who launch their own projects in their communities and work closely with local government and policymakers. Together, they’re making their communities climate-neutral—and, step by step, community by community, they’re making Germany climate-neutral too.
Here you’ll find all the events:

Send us an email, and we’ll help you get started with your climate volunteer work!

Your Tasks
The first step: Join one of our digital info sessions for those interested. There, you’ll learn everything you need to know about joining an existing LocalZero team or starting a new one.
We need everyone: the first-semester law student, the experienced engineer, and the retiree who wants to make a real difference in the community. There’s a place for all levels of experience and skills in climate action.

GermanZero
Help to ensure that the next generations have a future worth living in! With your support, GermanZero e.V. is developing a solution to the climate crisis: the 1.5-degree agreement, with which Germany can become climate neutral by 2035. Fair. Predictable. Effective.
In the Paris Climate Agreement, Germany committed itself to limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees with the international community. According to current research, this is only possible if Germany becomes climate neutral by 2035 at the latest.
We are the last generation that can still contain the climate crisis. So far, neither the German government nor any of the parties represented in the Bundestag have submitted a plan to this end. With its climate policy, Germany is currently heading towards global warming of 4 degrees. Although the Federal Republic is the strongest economy in Europe and the fourth largest in the world, Germany's climate balance is even lower than that of the European Union. We are far from keeping the climate promises made in Paris, to which Germany has committed itself under international law.
That is why we need the 1.5 degree turnaround. Now.
