About the volunteering opportunity
We’re looking for volunteers for our neighborhood café —Café Quelle—in Nuremberg’s Mögeldorf district! Once a week on Fridays, we create an accessible gathering space for residents of the neighborhood to meet in a relaxed atmosphere over coffee and cake, network, get involved, and share ideas.
Your Tasks
To make this possible, we need help with the following, among other things:
- Preparing the café for service (e.g., setting tables, labeling signs, cleaning surfaces)
- Taking orders
- Serving coffee and cake
- Being open to ideas, questions, and opinions on improving the quality of life in the neighborhood
- Supervising the creative table
- Follow-up and cleanup
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
No prior experience is required. What’s important is that you enjoy interacting with people and fostering a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Time required

Approx. 3 hours per week.
On weekdays, during the day, at night
There are two shifts to be filled each day the café is open. The first shift runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the second shift runs from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The café is open every Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
