Play together, be creative, and make children's eyes light up (361874)

At our shared housing facility for people with refugee backgrounds, we are looking for dedicated volunteers to help organize recreational activities for children ages 6 to 12. Together with the children, you will help plan varied and creative recreational activities, such as games, painting, arts and crafts, dancing, or sports. The goal is to provide the children with an enjoyable and varied experience and to give them space for play, physical activity, and social interaction.

The volunteers work with the children to organize recreational activities such as games, painting, arts and crafts, dancing, and sports. They supervise the children during these activities, contribute their own ideas, and foster a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Enjoyment of working with children ages 6 to 12, reliability, a sense of responsibility, and an interest in creative, athletic, or playful activities. Prior experience in education is desirable but not required. A willingness to engage with the life experiences of children with refugee backgrounds is important.

The assignment is scheduled for once or twice a week, for approximately 2 to 3 hours each time. The exact days and times can be arranged flexibly and on an individual basis.

Volunteer work takes place directly at the shared housing facility. It is particularly important to us that we treat the children with respect, appreciation, and cultural sensitivity. Play and craft supplies are provided. Any expenses incurred may be reimbursed upon agreement. A volunteer coordinator is available as a dedicated point of contact for questions and support. This opportunity is open to women 18 years of age and older.
