About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for English-speaking, friendly, proactive, communicative, and reliable volunteers to support the Plant Food System Summit (PFSS) and help us create a welcoming, seamless, and professional experience for all participants, speakers, and guests.
Your Tasks
Setup: Setting up the event venue, carrying items, setting up the information desk,
Ticket Check at the Entrance: Greeting participants at the entrance, scanning tickets, and assisting guests.
Cloakroom at the entrance: Accepting participants’ jackets, bags, and luggage; issuing and managing cloakroom tickets; and keeping the area clean and organized (especially in case of rain).
Entrance Info Point: Answering questions, providing directions and information, assisting participants, and occasionally escorting speakers to their rooms.
Entrance & Basement Runner: A flexible role for handling tasks that arise spontaneously during the event.
Conference Speaker Support: Supporting speakers (and moderators) before, during, and after sessions; ensuring that presentation times are adhered to; providing fresh water and glasses; assisting with practical questions; handling questions from the audience for the speakers (approx. 5 minutes after each session).
Pack-Up: Dismantling the event venue, carrying items, dismantling the information desk, and completing tasks as requested.
