Volunteering for animal welfare—we're looking for more volunteers!

We are a small, dedicated animal welfare organization from the Ruhr region,

dedicated to the welfare of Spanish dogs, and we support the small APAYMA animal shelter in Argamasilla de Alba, Spain.

Do you love dogs, want to get involved in animal welfare, and have a little time you’d like to put to good use? Then we’d love to meet you!

We are “Hände für APAYMA’s Pfoten e.V.,” a small animal welfare organization that supports the Spanish animal shelter APAYMA in Argamasilla de Alba. There, a small, dedicated team cares for dogs and cats that have been abandoned, surrendered, or are in distress. Among other things, we help care for the animals, support necessary local projects, and find responsible foster homes and adoptive families in Germany for suitable dogs.

To ensure we can continue this work in the long term, we’re looking for volunteers to join our small team. 

We could especially use help with:

You don’t need any special prior experience. What matters most to us are reliability, a sense of responsibility, a joy in working with others, and, of course, a love for animals. A thick skin and a sense of humor can also come in handy in animal welfare work. 

You don’t have to commit to fixed times every week: Anyone who can support us even just occasionally—whether at an event, an information booth in the North Rhine-Westphalia region, or a single campaign—is very welcome. Every helping hand takes some of the load off our small team and enables us to do more for the animals.
