About the volunteering opportunity

The Würdezentrum, a division of the STIFTUNG WEGELICHTER, would like to further develop its website, wuerdezentrum.de. We are looking for dedicated individuals with UX or web experience who can offer a fresh, outside perspective: What stands out at first glance? What improvements can be made to the content and structure? And how and where can a donation form be integrated in a way that’s both practical and clearly visible? Working together with the Würdezentrum team and the communications department, we aim to develop concrete recommendations based on which we’ll decide what to implement.

Your Tasks

  • Review and analyze the wuerdezentrum.de website (first impression, user experience, content, structure)
  • Identify opportunities for optimization
  • Review and optimize the integration/linking with the WEGELICHTER Foundation
  • Develop recommendations on how and where a donation form can be effectively integrated
  • Provide and document UX recommendations
  • Present the results to the Würdezentrum team and the communications department and advise on which recommendations to implement
  • Optional: Participate in the implementation of the agreed-upon changes

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
  • Experience in web design and/or UX design
  • An eye for user guidance, structure, and digital communication
  • Ability to translate observations into clear and understandable recommendations

Time required

Project-based
Project without deadlines, etc. — by arrangement and based on availability

Important notice

The Dignity Center is a division of the WEGELICHTER FOUNDATION and specializes in issues related to dying, death, and grief. A certain openness to this context is helpful, even if your involvement is limited to updating the website.

Location

This project is location independent.

Stiftung Wegelichter

When people are seriously ill or nearing the end of their lives, they need more than just industrialized medicine and care based on the principle of “fed and clean”: they need attention, time, and the feeling of being seen. Yet in the healthcare and elder care systems, there is often a lack of time and space for this.

This is where the Wegelichter Foundation comes in: Based in Frankfurt, serving Frankfurt and beyond, the PalliativTeam Frankfurt and the KinderPalliativTeam Südhessen provide home care each year to approximately 550 critically ill adults and up to 70 children and adolescents—with a multidisciplinary approach, reliability, and deep human respect. Through the families involved, we reach many times that number of people. The Würdezentrum complements this with educational programs—in 2025, for example, with nearly 90 courses and over 1,200 participants.

We empower those who provide care and develop ways to foster a culture of care in Frankfurt am Main and the Rhine-Main region that puts people at the center.
