About the volunteering opportunity
We rely on individual 1:1 mentoring outside the training company. You as a mentor are the contact person for youths or young adults in the dual vocational training system. Your tasks as a mentor are based on the goals set by the mentee as well as the agreed contents. The aim is to successfully master challenges in a relationship of trust and thus to promote the professional and personal development of the trainee. Mentors and mentees are brought together in a targeted matching process based on the initial situation. The individual support includes a 14-day contact rhythm (by arrangement between mentor and mentee) in person, by telephone and/or by e-mail, WhatsApp etc.

Location
kiezküchen gmbh
The "Unternehmensverbund Bildungsmarkt" with its subsidiary kiezküchen gmbh, as the largest regional education service provider, offers vocational training and social services with the aim of providing young people and adults with various opportunities to improve their prospects on the labour market.
As a provider of vocational training and further education, kiezküchen gmbh has set itself the task of supporting, training, coaching and advising people in their personal and professional development, regardless of age, gender, origin and education.
This accompanying support is implemented in the areas of vocational preparation, career entry support, initial vocational training and further and continuing vocational training, with a focus on the occupational field of catering and home economics.
In its work, which always focuses on people, kiezküchen gmbh develops innovative concepts to give young people and adults access to training and jobs. The most important starting point here is the individual prerequisites that each and every one of them brings with them. We always try to tie in with the already existing experiences and competences and to understand adult learning as follow-up learning, which builds on existing experiences.
