We are a small, non-profit association and run Squirrel News (https://squirrel-news.net/de), a free, curated app for solution-oriented news. For this purpose, we collect the most important solution-oriented contributions from the German and English-speaking media landscape, filter them and publish them in compact editions via app, website and newsletter.
We can always use help, especially with research. You can either join us on a certain day or search certain media or topics on a weekly basis or (maybe you are there anyway) suggest us suitable stories. The time allocation is quite flexible. However, a certain regularity and reliability would be important.
If you are interested, you could also help with rewriting the headlines and teaser texts or even write your own stories or translations. For the latter, however, you would need to have several years of experience in journalism.
Good general education, interest in media, ideally professional experience in journalism/news editing.
flexible, 1-5 hours per week
This project is location independent.
We are a small, non-profit association based in Berlin, founded in autumn 2019. With Squirrel News (squirrel-news.net) we launched a new, international news service in summer 2020: free, curated and solutions-focused.
