About the volunteering opportunity
We are very excited that “Ocean. Now!” is growing as an NGO. To continue building our professional presence, we are looking for a volunteer to manage our social media channels.
Do you have a passion for the ocean, want to actively get involved in marine conservation, and contribute your talent as a social media expert?

Your Tasks
- Managing social media channels. The frequency is approximately 2–3 posts per week.
- Working with the team to jointly define the strategic direction of the posts for the upcoming campaign (topic to be announced shortly)
- Writing posts in English (and occasionally in German)
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
- This position requires at least two years of experience in social media and strategic marketing
- You are familiar with social media and can create concise and precise posts
- You have a keen sense of design and a brand’s corporate identity
- You enjoy writing informative content and have a visual sense for which images pair well with the text
Time required
Regularly
Approx. 3 hours per week.
Time commitment: 3-5 hours per week

We use Slack, Google Drive, and Notion internally.

This project is location independent.

Ocean. Now! is a non-governmental organization that promotes the protection of the ocean at all levels of society. We work with concept art and create powerful images to address decision makers in business and politics. In parallel, we organize children's ocean workshops to give the next generation a voice.
