About the volunteering opportunity
We are very pleased that Ocean. Now! is growing as an NGO. In order to continue to align ourselves professionally, we are looking for a volunteer for our Social Media channel "X" (side note: possibly soon we'll move to the alternative, "Bluesky", and pause X).
Do you feel passionate about the ocean, desire to become active in ocean protection and to contribute your talent as an X Expert?

Your Tasks
- Maintain X/Bluesky channel. Frequency is roughly 1 post daily
- Strategic direction of posts in the context of the next campaign (topic to be announced soon) together with the team
- Wording posts in English (and sometimes German)
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
- This position requires at least 2 years of knowledge with Twitter/X as a platform and in strategic marketing
- You are familiar with social media and in implementing updates in a compact and concise way
- You have a sense of a brand's design/corporate identity
- You enjoy writing copy that informs and have a visual sense of what image goes well with the text

Time commitment: 3-5 hours per week

We work internally with the tools Slack, Google Drive and Notion.

Ocean. Now! is a non-governmental organization that promotes the protection of the ocean at all levels of society. We work with concept art and create powerful images to address decision makers in business and politics. In parallel, we organize children's ocean workshops to give the next generation a voice.
