What's needed
- Age (at least) 18 years
- extended certificate of good conduct required
- Tolerance for other, individual lifestyles
- Empathy
- Willingness to work in a group and to self-reflect
- Commitment only possible after a qualified preparatory course of approx. 100 teaching units
Time required
Important notice
- We can only offer accessibility for wheelchair users for the course itself. Unfortunately, we do not have any wheelchair-accessible toilets on our premises
- Accompaniment in retirement homes / hospices would be possible
- In private households, the conditions for accessibility are often not met.

The Office for Civic Commitment of the AWO Cologne is a consulting service. People who are willing to volunteer will receive advice and will be placed in organisations that work with volunteers. Further priority will be given to LESEMENTOR Cologne, young volunteers, further education and voluntary refugee work.
