Several pupils of the vocational integration class for social professions (BIK) in the Regensburger Straße in Nuremberg would like to have language mentors, who speak German with them and exchange information about everyday problems and requirements.
They would also like support in learning in general and they are also happy to be accompanied for leisure activities.
After the usual admission procedure for volunteers (interview, formalities, extended certificate of good conduct), there is nothing stopping you from taking up valuable volunteer work.
We are looking forward to your message!
The volunteers can support the language acquisition of the German language as language mentor, discuss everyday topics or simply motivate people to learn. The motivating help and support in systematic and consistent learning are certainly helpful in this respect. Leisure activities are also part of the integration and to better cope with everyday life in the respective living environment. Here the adult pupils between 18 and 55 years wish for friendly company and moral strengthening.
A friendly, open nature, clarity, life experience, patience and also humour are certainly basic requirements for such a voluntary task. Appropriate knowledge and confidence in the German language, but also the necessary stamina to practice and learn together are also required. A motivating charisma and also the willingness to engage in various leisure activities or to help shape or organize them are helpful skills for this commitment.
An extended certificate of good conduct is required, which can only be applied for after an interview with the volunteer coordinator and a written request from the administration of the Rummelsberg Services.
