For the Whitsun and summer holidays, we are looking for teamers* who are interested in accompanying children and young people in their leisure time with an adventure pedagogical background. From "Farm Camp", "Climbing Leisure Time" and "Adventure Wilderness" to "Water Rats Fun", from "Canoeing" to "Experience London Language" - there are numerous topics from which you can choose your favourite motto. Participants are between 4 and 18 years old and are divided into different age groups at the camps. Most camps take place within Germany, but there are also trips to other European countries. Overnight stays at most camps are at campsites - we promote experiences in and with nature. Of course, you will not spend your free time alone, but together with a team of adult and underage teamers*.
After the preparation seminar you can freely arrange and plan your leisure time program. During your free time you will be responsible for running the programme, preparing meals, managing the ticket office and looking after the children. Accommodation and transportation will be booked in advance by the office team, so this is not your responsibility.
You should enjoy being outdoors and having adventures with children/young people. Previous pedagogical knowledge is ideal, but not absolutely necessary. Before departure we need a police clearance certificate and proof of a first aid course.
In order to be optimally prepared for your mission, participation in one of our training seminars is required. These are offered during the Easter and Pentecost holidays or on a weekend and are conducted by trained educators. At the seminar you will learn pedagogical basics, organizational peculiarities and useful tips for the camp everyday life - and you can apply these directly in practice, because the seminar takes place parallel to a leisure time. In this way, you can see from the very beginning how a free time can be organised and what tasks you have to do.
From the age of 15 you can join our numerous camps as a group leader. Your area of responsibility will be a little smaller, you will mainly be the contact person for small groups and you will carry out parts of the programme.
From the age of 18, you can join us as a driver's guide and take on additional organisational and logistical tasks.
Tour guides receive an expense allowance of 15€/day (with experience days and participation in further training this daily rate can also increase). Group leaders receive 30€ for the week.
We are a provider of experiential educational camps for children and young people and offer our volunteer teamers numerous and varied opportunities for work in Germany and abroad. Before their first trip, teamers are trained and prepared comprehensively in our own courses.More about the organisation
