We are looking for trainers and child carers who would like to take part in our Bike & Belong course for women with refugee and/or migration experiences.
The child carers play with the children while their mothers learn how to cycle.
The trainers prepare a training session with the help of a training manual, are present at every course date (8x) if possible and give the participants assistance with cycling.
In a course there are 10-12 participants and 8-10 trainers.
In addition, the volunteers are invited to participate in the social program (excursions, events, etc.).
You don't have to have any previous experience... we are happy if you are motivated and in a good mood!
The courses last eight weeks and take place 1x a week for two hours, usually in the late afternoon (so a total of 8x2 hours per course). Our course season runs from April to October, with some of our side events taking place in the winter.
Before your engagement as a trainer you will take part in a preparation workshop and we are happy if you want to join our sideevents (bike tours, workshops etc.).
We are looking for female volunteers only.
We have a hygiene concept according to the Covid-19 pandemic, which is regularly adapted to the current conditions. In our offers we provide masks and disinfectants and depending on the current guidelines also self-tests.
We use cycling as a tool to create encounters between refugees, people with migration experience and the local population. We want to bring people together and strengthen togetherness.
