About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for voluntary godparents to tutor a student and help with homework. As a rule, godparents and godchild meet once a week for 1-1.5 hours in our facility in the afternoon. Details are agreed upon individually.
Your Tasks
You support your mentee child or young person in school subjects, individually according to the respective agreement. Our children and adolescents are mostly elementary, middle and special needs students. In addition to certain school subjects, most of them need support in the German language and the teaching of everyday knowledge (e.g. "how does a library work"?). The children mostly come from families with many children, who have few financial means and need support in coping with everyday life.

Time required
Our mentorships usually take place 1x per week for about 1.5 hours. The exact times and days you discuss personally with your protégé :)
Important notice
If you support us on a long-term basis, an extended certificate of good conduct must be applied for. Of course we will help you with that!

Since 1996, the ETC has been a non-profit organization in support and qualification activities for children, young people and young adults, and is recognized as a sponsor of free youth welfare. The focus of the fields of application are in the school support, vocational orientation, job preparation, vocational training and support for the vocational training.
