About the volunteering opportunity
The inclusive company "Komm&Sieh" runs four second-hand neighbourhood stores, the TEXTILHAFEN with material pool, the upcycling label WaterToWine, the Re-Use Centre in the House of Materialization, the logistics kitchen and helps with professional apartment clearances.
The proceeds from "Komm & Sieh" support the social projects of the Berlin City Mission.
With our clothing store, we provide people in need with basic clothing that everyone needs. To do this, we need help from people - in this case women - who are empathetic and resilient towards people and their difficult situations and have a fundamental interest in order and structure.
Your Tasks
Activity: You hand out clothes to homeless and women in need and advise them on the selection of suitable clothing. You will assist with sorting by differentiating and categorizing clothing specifically for women according to size, type, condition and season, for example.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Requirements: To protect women in need of help, this volunteer position is aimed exclusively at female volunteers. You must be at least 18 years old for this volunteer position. You must speak German to at least level A2. Knowledge of Eastern European languages such as Polish, Russian or Romanian is an advantage, but not a requirement.
You will enjoy this voluntary work, if: You are open to the life situations of homeless people. You keep an overview and enjoy working in a team. You are reliable and enjoy existing structures.

On weekdays, during the day
Time commitment: 1-2 times a week, 2 to 4 hours a day. We would like a regular commitment.
When: Thursday and Friday from 08:00 am to 02:00 pm
