About the volunteering opportunity
As a nationwide animal rights organisation, ANIMALS UNITED fights for the rights of all animals and against any exploitation of animals by humans. Our primary goal is to make it possible for animals to have a better life or even a life at all.
The tasks of ANIMALS UNITED include
Education and seminars
Information service for media in areas relevant to animal welfare
Campaigns
Our work focuses primarily on five areas: Nutrition, clothing, research, entertainment and animal "roommates".
We are a registered association and are recognised as a non-profit organisation. Our association is based in Munich, but we have action groups throughout Germany.
Your Tasks
We are looking for a person for our press office who is familiar with press work and who can support us in writing and issuing press releases according to our association guideline. In the long term, we want to build up and maintain a good press distribution list with interested journalists for the association. In this way we would like to position our topics more sustainably in the press and be able to draw attention to ourselves.
What's needed
You know what the tasks of a press office are?
Do you know how to establish and maintain lasting contacts with representatives of the press?
You know how to write meaningful press releases and texts?
You like to work in a team and like to coordinate your work, but you can work reliably and independently?
You would like to contribute your professional knowledge and contacts to a Germany-wide team?

The amount of time required is around 2 to 3 hours per week.
Time required
You can flexibly arrange your time and work remotely. The time commitment is 2 to 3 hours per week.

This project is location independent.
