About the volunteering opportunity
Solidarität mit Waisen e.V. helps AIDS orphans in Tanzania to develop their full potential through education. Therefore we implemented a project in Tanzania this summer to train children and young people in the use of digital technology. Our protégés make their own films about their everyday life and all the things that move them. This gives them a voice and important skills for their professional life. In the future we would like to report on the positive impact of our work through our social media channels. Get involved with us in the area of Social Media Management.
Your Tasks
Social Media marketing Conception and implementation of social media campaigns based on our photo and video material.
Social Media Strategy Definition and optimization of our social media strategy to successfully communicate solidarity with orphans to different target groups according to our values.
Social Media Video Development of video formats and stories based on video material of our children and partners in Africa. Implementation of the video formats by editing and creation of captions.
What's needed
- Affinity to (at least one) social media platform (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
- Enjoy writing short, concise texts
- Basic knowledge of image editing
- Basic knowledge of video editing
