About the volunteering opportunity
At www.we-inform.de , we provide a collection of basic information in various languages. This enables refugees to gain an overview of topics such as health, education, family and asylum and to find the right contacts and points of contact for their specific questions and challenges.
To keep the information and links up to date, we need editorial support: content can be researched and checked, texts entered and translated and the project and website made more widely known.
Your Tasks
You can get involved in any area of the project:
- You can check and correct the current information on the website or research new information.
- You can enter the texts and make the current status available online.
- You can concentrate on marketing and making the project better known so that more people use the website.
- You can use your IT skills to improve the site and its functions.
- You can translate texts or prepare them for translation.
- As a networker, you can focus on fundraising and secure funding for the project.
- You can develop new ideas and project aspects to further develop and improve We.Inform.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
You don't need any special prior knowledge and can work flexibly on our website, regardless of whether you want to work intensively on a specific area for a few weeks or take on long-term responsibility for one of the topics.

Finding your way in a new country is difficult: on our website we provide information on a wide range of topics - from education and health to asylum procedures - collected and currently available in seven different languages.
Our target groups are mainly refugees and migrants in Hamburg.
