We would like to develop a low-threshold offer for people without shelter or permanent residence in Stuttgart. There is already established help with fixed locations such as the day care center Olga46, the Frauenpension and the Franziskusstube. Nevertheless, many of the homeless people spend their time on the streets of Stuttgart. There it is in the winter now particularly COLD and increasingly difficult for people.
That's exactly where we want to reach people with the action "Warm through the night"! Already in many cities such as Essen, Dortmund, Nuremberg and Berlin there are already established and strongly accepted Warm through the night offers.
In cooperation with Trott-war e.V. and committed volunteers of the youngcaritas we want to go through the streets of Stuttgart. With in the luggage coffee, tea and much more, we would like to give just these people not only a small joy, but also dignity and sympathy. We offer dialogue and an open ear for the affected people and can draw attention to established assistance. We also receive further support from the Stuttgart FairKauf.
As a committed person you support this action from the planning to the implementation. We walk together through the city and offer our offer unconstrained affected people.
As a volunteer, you should of course be an open and communicative person who has a desire for the project.
You should also be aware that we meet people who live in an absolute emergency and this can be emotionally quite stressful. So as a volunteer you should be resilient, empathetic and tolerant of people in this situation. Furthermore, temporal flexibility is required, as the action runs from afternoon to evening and the actual end time is difficult to predict.
In addition, a minimum age of 16 years is required for the beginning.
