Support in the kitchen at the Gussow adventure camp

The adventure camp is located in Gussow at the Dolgensee, in a beautiful vacation area surrounded by forests and lakes. Children, young people and families experience creative workshops, exciting stories, lots of adventure, soccer, beach volleyball, frisbee, campfires, off-road games and pure action. Our guests can expect a varied program, healthy food and an enthusiastic team. Every year, there are four camps during the first four weeks of the summer vacation in Berlin/Brandenburg. We need support for the kitchen: become part of our team at the Gussow Adventure Camp!

Activity: For the GEC kids and the siblings camp, one or two people are needed for one week each to go shopping and prepare breakfast and dinner during the camp. One person as the leader will draw up a meal plan and the shopping list in consultation. At lunch, only the catering needs to be accepted and distributed.

For the GEC teens, two to three people are needed to take care of the shopping for the week and all three meals, including a warm lunch. We are also looking for a person to manage the kitchen, who will write a meal plan for the week in consultation with us and draw up a shopping list.

Requirements: You can volunteer from the age of 16. As this is a voluntary position with children, an extended certificate of good conduct in accordance with § 30a BZRG is required for the purposes of § 72a SGB VIII for volunteers. Proof of measles vaccination and a Red Card are also required. There are no costs for the documents.

Time required: One week from Sunday evening to Saturday evening: in the morning from approx. 7.00 a.m. - 9.30 a.m. at noon from approx. 12.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m., in the evening 5.00 p.m. - 7.30 p.m.

GEC kids: 27.07. - 02.08.2025 and 03.08. - 09.08.2025

Siblings camp: 09.08. - 15.08.2025

GEC teens: 15.08. - 23.08.2025

What we are looking for: You should enjoy working with people and have some experience in cooking for groups.

What we offer: As a volunteer, we will provide you with accommodation and meals for the time you are involved. Accommodation is in shared rooms or in a single room in the Haus am See guest house in Gussow. Each room has its own bathroom with WC and shower. In addition to its own bathing area, the site has a beach volleyball court, a soccer pitch and a low ropes course.
