About the volunteering opportunity
In our parents' café "Kafem" in the former Daimler housing estate in Hallschlag, various offers are made for parents, children and families. Currently, we offer various educational and informational formats for parents, creative workshops for young and old, and cooking together. In the future, however, we would also like to organize an afternoon of reading aloud at least once a month. And for this we are looking for volunteer support! We have some great children's books on site but, by arrangement, you can also bring your own favourite stories.
Your Tasks
After consultation, we will arrange one or more appointments where you will read aloud for half an hour to an hour or read together with the children.
What's needed
- Joy of reading aloud
- Enthusiasm
- Enjoy working with children with different first languages
Time required
Our opening hours are Tuesday 12pm - 3pm, Thursday 12pm - 6pm and twice a month on Friday. Ideally it would be on Thursday afternoon when school is out.
Important notice
Offers can also take place in another language, adapted to the target group. For impressions of our work, visit us on Instagram.
