About the volunteering opportunity
The adventure camp is located in Gussow at the Dolgensee, within a beautiful vacation area, surrounded by forests and lakes. Children aged 8 - 13 years experience creative workshops, exciting stories, a lot of adventure, soccer, beach volleyball, Frisbee, campfire, cross-country games and pure action with us. Our young guests can expect a varied program, healthy food and an enthusiastic team. Every year there are four camps, always in the first four weeks of the summer vacations in Berlin/Brandenburg. Here we need support for the kitchen service: Become part of our team in the Gussow adventure camp!
Your Tasks
Activity: All activities are carried out in a kitchen team of two to three people. In the kitchen service you support us in the preparation and postprocessing of breakfast and dinner and distribute the catering at lunch. In addition, the planning of the purchases, the weekly shopping, the support of the children's groups in washing up and keeping the kitchen in order.
What's needed
Requirements: In order to become a volunteer you need to be 16 years old and above. Because you will work with children an extended certificate of good conduct according to § 30a BZRG for purposes of § 72a SGB VIII for is required. There are no costs for this. Proof of measles vaccination is also required. In addition, a red card (hygiene training) is required.
What we are looking for: You should enjoy working with children. You are open minded and take the needs of the children seriously.
Time required
Time required: One week from Sunday evening to Saturday evening: in the morning from approx. 7.30 am - 9.30 am, at noon from approx. 12.30 pm to 2 pm, in the evening 5 pm - 7 pm
