ReDI School of Digital Integration is a non-profit digital school for newcomers in Berlin. The school offers its students free, high-quality training, the chance to join the startup and digital industry, and a physical platform to connect newcomers to locals.
To support the students in their studies, ReDI equips them with workstations in co-working spaces and access to technical mentors to work in project groups. Apart from technological skills, ReDI also provides know-how of digital entrepreneurs, and connects students early on with the local startup scene and potential employers through networking events.
Our digital literacy courses are targeting in particular two groups:
We offer an intro course and a basic computer skills course. We provide our students with the possibility to borrow a laptop from the school and teach topics such as the basics of operating a computer, MS Office, Emails, and Google Tools. Anyone who knows the basics of computer use can definitely teach in these classes!
Whether online or in person, we adapt to the sanitary crisis, and take into account the opinion of our teachers and students.
We need volunteers to teach our participants and support them in their learning journey and inclusion process. Our volunteers teach in teams about once a week and are supported by the ReDI School with curricula, training and organization. So if you want to master your teaching or presentation skills and want to be part of a fun international network, you've come to the right place!
Above all we need volunteers able to teach computer basics in German, but also teachers who are willing to e.g. review homework, support the main teacher in class and prepare kahoot quizzes.
Teaching at ReDI is a wonderful and rewarding experience, but can also a great challenging sometimes. We are looking for motivated people who would like to get involved in a 4-month project for about 8 hours per month.
you are engaged, ready to help, and enjoy multicultural environments!
Please note: For this volunteering opportunity, you need German skills on the level „Medium German skills“.
Become part of our lively international community and expand your social and professional network! In the Berlin community alone, ReDI School currently has over 380 volunteer teachers from over 46 different nationalities (25% German). 61% of them continue to volunteer after one semester and some are alumni returning as teachers.
