Über den Tellerrand kochen is creating a new togetherness among refugees and locals and achieving long-lasting integration in a process that involves people from all corners of society participating on their own initiative. As a pilot project, Über den Tellerrand inspires cross-cultural exchange and encounters at the groundlevel among cultures and supports an open and tolerant society. We've started with a cooking project, now we' ve got a football team, a sewing café, a gardening and apiculture project, a language café, a job-buddy-program, a extraordinary triad-mentoring program and much more. If you have any other idea how to get locals and refugees together, please contact us! With all our activities we emphasize tolerance and openness, participation and the co-creation of high-quality value propositions for all participants. We work in a non-denominational, cross-partying and appreciative way.More about the organisation
In August, our encounter labs in Berlin will start in the second round and you can be part of it!
In the labs, we want to exchange ideas on the topics of integration and migration in a fixed group. You will get to know different people with and without refugee experience. Together we will develop tools and methods with which we want to actively shape an open and diverse society. Our experiences and knowledge will be made freely available to all people after the encounter labs. Exchange and learning from each other make our labs the heart of our new project "Begegnungswerkstatt Deutschland"!
14 people take part in the labs. The lab has a duration of three months (12 dates) and takes place from 17.08. - 02.11.21 on Tuesday evenings from 18:30 - 21 :00.
