Support in the area of public relations (Public and Influencer Relations)

ShelterBox is an international charity that provides emergency shelter and other essential supplies to people who have lost their livelihoods due to natural disasters or conflict. Since our foundation in 2000, we have already been in action in over 98 countries and have provided emergency aid to more than two million people.

Our goal is to become even better known in Germany and to significantly increase our reach. To achieve this, we would like to build up a small volunteer PR team of two to three people who will assist our full-time staff in the Berlin office with the tasks listed below. That means, even if you are only interested in one or two of the tasks, we would be very happy about your support.

• Development and implementation of a PR or influencer strategy
• Planning and implementation of creative campaigns
• Creation of press releases, acquisition of interviews as well as expansion and maintenance of the press distribution list
• Search for suitable prominent ambassadors
• Networking with relevant media contacts, bloggers, associations and other multipliers

• Interest in actively volunteering (approximately 5 hours per month)
• Ideally a degree in journalism, marketing, communications or a similar qualification
• Professional experience in public relations and/ or influencer marketing
• High level of empathy and proactive approach to work
• Stylistic confidence and passion for writing as well as very good German and English skills
• Familiarity with the German media landscape
