The support of volunteers has become an important part of our work in the area of "Integration and Language": Numerous volunteer language mentors and volunteer teachers in conversation courses and tutoring programs support and accompany the people with a history of flight and migration who participate in our projects and thus make a valuable contribution to integration and an open and colorful society.
Now we are looking for volunteers who would like to support us in exactly this interface between refugees, volunteers and language courses, so that all -volunteers as well as refugees- can be well and comprehensively trained, accompanied and supported.
Depending on what you feel like doing and how much time you have, we will look together to see what kind of commitment is possible for you. Possibilities would be, for example:
...or much more - we are always happy to receive creative ideas, comments and inspiration!
Reliability, an open ear & a lot of empathy for the questions and concerns of volunteers & refugees, empathy and desire to bring different people in contact and create a good framework for the ongoing offers, good MS Office skills and not shy to approach people.
The volunteering always takes place under consideration of the currently valid Corona Protection Ordinance and the correspondingly adapted hygiene protection concept of the Bonn association. Currently, masks are mandatory in all rooms, as well as the usual hygiene rules (hand washing, distance, fresh air). All employees and those regularly present in our offices must also be tested twice a week.
The Bonner Verein für Pflege- und Gesundheitsberufe e.V. is a non-profit association that provides state-approved training in the field of geriatric care. We contribute with a variety of initiatives and projects to the promotion of skilled labour in the care of the elderly and the socio-political recognition of the care profession. We enable migrant women to enter the nursing profession by offering them a very low-threshold entry into nursing training. We improve the current living situation of elderly people by training and accompanying volunteers to become qualified supporters as neighbourhood helpers and patient companions.
