About the volunteering opportunity
The projects in the area of "Integration & Language" aim to break down barriers to education and professional integration for refugees. Together with a network of helpers, we offer orientation and encourage self-initiative so that professional integration can be taken into one's own hands in the future.
Your Tasks
We are looking for volunteers to support our association in the accompaniment of refugees. Which specific tasks you can take on depends entirely on what you are interested in and what needs currently exist.
In the area of training guide & career orientation, it is especially about:
- Orientation: Which occupational fields are there in Germany? Which occupations can be started without a school leaving certificate?
- Support with the recognition of foreign school-leaving qualifications
- Search for internships & trial days
- Establishing contacts to training companies
- Joint writing of applications
- Preparation for job interviews
- ...
What's needed
Good contact skills with and empathy for the target group
Own professional activity / experience in preparing application documents
Time required
Important notice
The use always takes place under consideration of the currently valid Corona Protection Ordinance and the correspondingly adapted hygiene protection concept of the Bonn association. Currently, masks are mandatory in all rooms, as well as the usual hygiene rules (hand washing, distance, fresh air). All employees and regular visitors to our offices must also be tested twice a week.
For individual meetings within the framework of the sponsorship, outside our premises, the normal distance rules apply. If necessary, a test can be arranged before each meeting.
Where?
Bonner Verein für Pflegeberufe e.V.
The Bonner Verein für Pflege- und Gesundheitsberufe e.V. is a non-profit association that provides state-approved training in the field of geriatric care. We contribute with a variety of initiatives and projects to the promotion of skilled labour in the care of the elderly and the socio-political recognition of the care profession. We enable migrant women to enter the nursing profession by offering them a very low-threshold entry into nursing training. We improve the current living situation of elderly people by training and accompanying volunteers to become qualified supporters as neighbourhood helpers and patient companions.
