Support measuring and pricing in the house of materialization

In June 2021, we launched a Re-Use Center for climate-friendly resource use at Alexanderplatz with project partners in the House of Materialization.

We also receive clothing from donations that is unfortunately not suitable for the clothing store or for sale in our neighborhood stores due to damage, signs of wear, etc. If this clothing is of high material quality, we sell it in our material pool for textile upcycling at a price per kilo.

do you love fabrics and know your way around textiles? Then we have a volunteer job that you might enjoy!

Job: You will support the measuring and pricing of yard goods and sewing ingredients. You will also prepare the goods for sale in the material pool, either as part of a team or independently.

You will enjoy this voluntary work: You like being part of a team and enjoy the topic of upcycling and textiles.

Requirements: It is important that you can communicate well in German. Knowledge of English is an advantage, but not a must. You must be 18 years old to volunteer.

When: Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 - 12:00 or 13:00 - 16:00

Time commitment: Once a week, approx. 2 hours. We would like a regular commitment. Times can be arranged individually.

Expected attitude: You are convinced that every person has an inalienable dignity. You have a respectful attitude towards the Christian faith as well as other religions and world views.
