About the volunteering opportunity
Many senior citizens are unsure about how to use their digital devices and often lack a direct contact person to ask questions and solve problems. However, interest in exploring digital possibilities has also grown among the older population. Especially the pandemic has shown us how important it is to familiarize senior citizens with digital options and how to use it.
Your Tasks
We are involved in the Digital AG in the Ehrenfeld district. We are looking for you as a digital mentor, who will meet with the senior citizens on a one-to-one basis. As this is a close, intimate contact with possibly sensitive data, a certificate of good conduct is required.

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.

The Office for Civic Commitment of the AWO Cologne is a consulting service. People who are willing to volunteer will receive advice and will be placed in organisations that work with volunteers. Further priority will be given to LESEMENTOR Cologne, young volunteers, further education and voluntary refugee work.
