Financial and payroll accountant

We are looking for a finance and payroll clerk to work for us on a voluntary basis. The job itself can be done location-independently, but there should be a regular contact 2 times a week on site. A detailed description and coordination of the tasks will take place in a personal interview.

Your Tasks

Duties will include approximately the following:

• Financial accounting
• Annual financial statement with tax return
• Payroll accounting
• (issuing of donation receipts (cash and non-cash donations))
• (payment of invoices)
• (administration of accounts)
• Collection or collection notification (for current donations) of Sepa donations
• (control of receipt of fines from local court and public prosecutor's office, correspondence with local court and public prosecutor's office (notification of incoming payments, notification of arrears))
• Information about wages to Jobcenter
• Assessment of measures from a fiscal point of view e.g. photovoltaics
• Participation in board meetings
• Regular short contact per week on site

What's needed

Financial accountant, tax consultant or similar.

The Tafel in Cologne is an indispensable social institution in the Cologne help system, which has made it its mission to help people in need with the most natural: with food, attention and solidarity. Although there are many people in Cologne who are concerned about their daily nutrition, huge amounts of food are thrown away every day. This is exactly where our volunteers help. They collect tons of donated food from supermarkets, bakeries and manufacturers and distribute it to needy people.
