About the volunteering opportunity
You would like to support families in shaping their everyday life?
You are motivated and enjoy working with people?
Whether it's accompanying people to the doctor, helping them fill out applications or finding a place to live, or "discovering" Cologne's leisure activities together - you are flexible and able to orient yourself to the needs of the families?
An appreciative, respectful approach and a critical attitude towards racism are part of your everyday life?
Then we are looking for you to volunteer as a family sponsor in a shelter for refugees in Cologne Porz.
We are looking for:
Committed Cologne residents with an affinity for digital media and, if possible, basic knowledge in the use of digital devices (smartphone, tablet, laptop)
Your Tasks
We network you with other volunteers and offer you a connection to the qualified social work professionals on site.
In addition, you will receive free training opportunities for your professional development during and after your studies/training.

The Office for Civic Commitment of the AWO Cologne is a consulting service. People who are willing to volunteer will receive advice and will be placed in organisations that work with volunteers. Further priority will be given to LESEMENTOR Cologne, young volunteers, further education and voluntary refugee work.
