Donation collection | Sort and pack clothing and material donations for people fleeing

"Wir packen's an" is a non-profit association from Berlin-Brandenburg, which brings direct help to suffering people in refugee camps on the edge of Europe.

Our trucks with relief supplies should arrive in spring in Bosnia, Greece and on the border Poland-Belarus. Especially in Athens a new humanitarian disaster is looming, in Bosnia thousands of people are unprovided for, on the border with Belarus people are camping in the forest. So we are challenged! We collect donations of clothes and goods for people on the run at various collection points.

In our hall in Biesenthal we collect and sort donations in kind, which are then transported directly to the European external borders to our partner organizations. For this purpose, a query is made in advance with the partners, so that we can deliver the required items according to need.

That is why the accurate sorting is so important! This is not at all difficult, there is certainly an area of application for each.

Someone who organizes the work on the day is on site on each packing day.

Boxes are to be opened, the contents need to be distributed by categories and sorted into the boxes provided.

In the hall, there is a small kitchenette and a seating area. Heated toilets are also on the premises.

Please dress warmly, the hall is not heated and only slightly warmer than outside. If it is very hot outside, it is always a little cooler in the hall.
