About the volunteering opportunity

For our project "We silver the net. The 1x1 of tablets/smartphones for people 65+" we are looking for people who want to and have fun teaching digital beginners between the ages of 65 and 100 how to use a smartphone or tablet and explain everything about the digital world to our silver-plated people with a lot of patience and a desire for many repetitions.

You can come once, several times or regularly, as it suits you.

Your Tasks

Assist us with Silvering Rounds in the beginning and potentially run Silvering Rounds on your own later on.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Fun and patience with the explanations

Good knowledge of how to use a smartphone/tablet (Android + Apple)

Empathy for people 65+ who have little knowledge of the digital world

Important notice

Reliability is very important, as the silvered ones often have to travel long distances to take part.

Where?

Wege aus der Einsamkeit e.V.

One of our points is to give old age a positive image, to offer modern, free formats of encounters for people 65+ poor or rich, with or without limitations. The topic of digitalisation plays a special role for us, as our world is becoming more and more digital, and at an ever faster pace. That is why for 8 years we have been offering our free project "Wir versilbern das Netz. Das 1x1 der Tablets/Smartphones für Menschen 65+" analogue as well as digital.
