Support our partner organisation in Malawi in the area of finance

Our partner organisation in Malawi is a CBO (community based organisation). Legally, this corresponds roughly to a non-profit association in this country. The CBO members still find it difficult to understand their organisation as a legal entity. The VAT/VAT exemption they are entitled to is on its way, but in order to reclaim taxes, a proper tax return is needed.

We are looking for the best possible conditions for money transactions, as we are currently losing too much money.

In addition, of course, we lack effective fundraising. Public funding requires 25% of our own funds, which must be financed. Unexpected price increases in Malawi are straining our budgets. A better acquisition of donations enables us to finance spontaneous and individual help with such 'free' money. Since we have been known in Malawi, the requests have increased. We should be in a better financial position!

What's needed

Who knows the best about banks, international money transfer or has the best idea? We are looking for someone with a lot of patience, empathy, pedagogical skills and maybe even with travel opportunities and a desire for adventure. Our friends in Malawi live at subsistence level and say of themselves that they are not educated. It takes a lot of skill and motivation to strengthen the community in the long term.

This project is location independent.

Young and old for one world... for the benefit of the disadvantaged. After ten years of development cooperation in Sierra Leone and four years of refugee work in Berlin, our focus has been on Malawi since 2018. We are currently working on the construction of a kindergarten, a school, educational workshops especially for women who want to set up their own independent existence, a doctor's house and a canteen for school meals with teaching and distribution of varied food from our own permaculture.
