About the volunteering opportunity
The Station Mission is a widely known point of contact for anyone who needs help in the station area. This concerns travelers in distress as well as people with social or psychological difficulties.
Like us, you are enthusiastic about the work of the Bahnhofsmission and are willing to tell other people about it and ask for financial support? Then become a volunteer fundraiser for the Bahnhofsmission am Hauptbahnhof! We are looking for open-minded and outgoing people who will come into contact with people on Fridays selected by the railroad and ask for donations.
Your Tasks
Activity: You go equipped with a blue station mission vest, a sealed donation box and a collector's card through the main station and collect donations for the work of the station mission by addressing travelers directly. They get into conversation with each other and, if necessary, also provide information about the work of the station mission.
What's needed
What we want: You are open-minded and outgoing. You are fully behind the work of the station mission. You are communicative and meet each person at eye level.
Requirements: The minimum age for this volunteer position is 18 years. You have a good knowledge of German. Foreign language skills are an advantage. Because it is an honorary position with great responsibility, an extended certificate of good conduct is required. For this you will not incur any costs.
Time required
Time commitment: 2 -8 hours
When: on up to 22 Fridays a year, between 8 am and 5 pm, longer-term commitment desired
