About the volunteering opportunity
We are still looking for help with homework supervision at the shared accommodation for refugees in Neumarkter Str. in Munich Berg am Laim. A friendly team of six volunteers is currently helping there, but as there are usually 6 - 8 pupils with intensive learning needs, more helpers are needed. They meet Monday to Thursday from 05:00 to 07:00 pm. It is mainly primary and middle school children who attend. One test session is required.
Your Tasks
Homework supervision 1 x a week from 5pm - 7pm
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Fun and experience in dealing with children
- Kind, motivated, patient, assertive and resistant to noise
- Playful methodical approach
- Intercultural competence (open, unprejudiced, interested)
- Knowledge of the German school system
Time required
Homework supervision takes place Mondays through Thursdays from 5 - 7 pm. You agree with the team on which day you will take over the homework supervision.
Important notice
An extended certificate of good conduct is required. We help you with the procurement.
