About the volunteering opportunity

We are looking forward to motivated volunteers who are keen to organize actions and events to
get to know and better understand people with and without migration and refugee background. 

We organize events such as: joint barbecues, picnic actions, cooking evenings with people with and without migration and refugee background. 

Your Tasks

  • Organizing events for a diverse community 
  • Considering new event ideas
  • Creating event announcements on our social media channels
  • Supporting on the day of the event

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
We welcome everyone who wants to get involved. Your own ideas and personal talents are very welcome.

A big plus would be if you:

  • can organize yourself well 
  • have a taste for diversity
  • are creative and reliable

Welcome Dinner e.V.

Welcome Dinner - these are encounters at eye level. People with and without refugee experience or migration history meet for dinner together at the kitchen table. In this way, we want to make it easier for newcomers to gain access to our society and at the same time enable Hamburger citizens to get to know each other.
