About the volunteering opportunity

The PIKSL Lab Kassel is an open place for inclusive exchange where people learn together, develop ideas and actively shape innovations. We open barrier-free access to the digital world for people with and without disabilities. In our inclusive team, we make new media accessible to all people and develop them further. In this way, we make it easier for people to participate in society and enable more self-determination in life.

One concrete offer is our Open Hours, in which we advise our guests on their smartphone and computer problems free of charge . Any:r and all can come to us during this time, use our on-site computers, and ask questions about digital devices or the Internet. In addition to finding solutions together for the visitors' concerns, it would be your task to prepare and clean up our premises and make the guests happy with a coffee or tea.

A new project for a current occasion is the 'Digital Help for People from Ukraine' during our Open Hours. We offer free WLAN, computers in Ukrainian/Cyrillic, printers, help with installing translation ports or help with setting new SIM- cards with German network on Ukrainian cell phone.  It would be great if you speak Ukrainian or Russian, but is not a must.

If you are interested, just come by for a coffee and we'll show you what's going on with us.

You are also welcome to make an appointment with us by phone. Just call us at the following number: 0156 / 7871 1948
